My Yoga Story by Barbara Lett

I met Cammy at Charis Crafters in Oct 2019 and I have been a student since that time. The idea of yoga had been in the back of my mind for sometime. I found out Cammy had opened Harmony Yoga Studio in Eclectic. I jumped at the opportunity and started almost immediately.

As you all know, Covid came on the scene in early 2020 disrupting all of our lives. I was quarantined with no outside gatherings and no yoga at the studio for a time due to shut downs. After a time, Harmony offered classes on Facebook, outdoor yoga and then live online classes before also resuming In-studio classes.

In December 2020, I discovered my bone density was not good. My physician wanted me to take medication to prevent it from getting worse. I was not ready to take that step. I continued my yoga 2 to 3 times a week. In July 2022 I had Covid. I tried doing yoga that first week but it didn't happen. After about a week I did what I could. I was determined to try and keep my strength and not let it whip me! I will tell you that some days were not easy at all. There are still days that I struggle but I continue on!

On February 14, 2023, after another bone density test, I discovered my bone density had actually improved by 19.2% !!

It is well worth it even through your struggles!
